Make no mistake: War is Hell. The US troops are not Holy. The US troops make mistakes, they kill wrong people, they make wrong judgement, and their commanders snap under the strain of battle. US bombers drop bombs on their own troops all the time. The US Navy usually takes the Marines to wrong beaches to land. Regrettably, Nogeun-ri and similar incidents in Korea did happen. MyLai massacre by the GIs in Vietnam also happened. Former Senator and Presidential candidate, and now a university President, Bob Kerry did kill a number of children and old people in cold blood in Vietnam. Not long ago, a US soldier raped an 11-year old girl in Kosovo and killed her. It is, however, usually the US press, which exposes these dishonorable incidents. US reporters certainly know, as I do,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who they are,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], where they come from, and whom they are defending, but they hold nothing back in exposing the truth.
Several decades ago those people whom were suspected of taking side with the N. Korea were massacred by the S. Korean police and military,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Jeju island massacre was one of them,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. This was one of the darkest time in Korean history,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The fanatics in both sides retaliated each other without end. People were gone mad.
But civilized people don't accuse innocent people on the basis of innuendoes, unsubstantiated rumors,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and propaganda. Communist N. Koreans are experts in doing such things, without due process, in their so called Peoples Court system. There is, for example, absolutely no evidence that General Dean ordered the massacre of 30,000 people in Jeju island on April 3, 1948. Major Gen. William F. Dean, Commander of the US 24th Division under Gen. Walker, was captured by the N. Koreans in 1950 in the Battle of Daejeon. If he had indeed ordered such a massacre of colossal proportion, it is inconceivable for the N. Koreans to keep him alive and later release in the POW exchange. Had the US military been involved in a massacre of this magnitude, its impossible for the US press like New York Times and dirt digger like Drew Pearson not to take a notice of it. Gen. Dean suffered dearly in Korea. It is gross injustice to him to add this kind of insult on his injury.
No person with brain believes the nonsense that B-29 machine gunned Korean fishermen on the sea in 1948, killing hundreds of them. The B-29 high altitude bombers, dubbed the Flying Fortresses, can not fly low enough to use machine guns at the people on the surface. Precisely for this reason, they used B-29s to drop atom bombs. Yes, the US's B-29s carpet bombed Seoul and Pyungyang, and anything in between and beyond. Hitler's Luftwaffes bombed London. US bombers flattened Dresden and even Monte Cassino. Lincoln's Army burned everything between Atlanta and Savannah. The US Flying Fortresses completely leveled Tokyo. War is Hell, there is no question about it. Who started the terrible war in Korea?
As Seoul was falling into the N. Korean hands,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], President Syngman Rhee broadcasted to the citizens of Seoul that the N. Koreans were repulsed. Then the panicked S. Korean Army blasted the only bridge across Han River. It caused hundreds of military and civilian casualties. Worse yet, millions of citizens were trapped in Seoul. The N. Koreans cherry picked countless number of prominent citizens, charged them bourgeois in Kangaroo Courts Peoples Courts and killed them by the bushels. Those who were not killed were taken to N. Korea. Most homes in Seoul lost adult members of family at that time. This is the reason why there is such a massive separation of loved ones across the boarder. Besides the negligence of national defense, premature destruction of the bridge was the biggest mistake President Rhee made in the Korean War.
While unfortunate incidents like Nogun-ri did happen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], happy incidents also happened. After the US Marines suffered one of the worst defeats in its history in Chosin(Jangjin) Reservoir, they barely retreated to Heungam Boodoo (Harbor) for evacuation to Pusan by LST ships. Converging to Heungnam in great masses were hundreds of thousands of N. Korean refugees, who were running away from the advancing communists. Despite their own dire emergency situation, the US troops took over 100,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 of these refugees with them to Pusan in their ships. The world had not seen an Exodus of this magnitude even at the time of Moses. No other military outfit in the world could perform this kind of daunting task in kind heart. Many of the present S. Koreans are the descendents of these refugees. The popular song, 'Don't Cry Kumsoon-ah', which swept across the land for generations, is the survival story about these very refugees.
If those so called experts in the Korean-American news you watched indeed concluded that the war in Korea was actually started by the USA by landing Inchon in 1945, they are no experts. Did they, by any chance, say anything about the Russians, who gave N. Korea tanks, howitzers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fighter planes, and other tools of war?

Not every moment of my life is interesting enough to keep my mind on the subject for a long time. So, I tried to focus on a mental Picture of my dream holiday with my family. You can also choose a Picture from your imagination.
We generally think that our mind is too busy about our problems that we don’t have time to concentrate on any subject or we don’t have chance to think about anything else but our problems. Actually it’s not the case. Yes your mind is busy but not with your current problems. Unless you lead your mind, it works on default mode. When you are not consciously thinking about something, your mind is just wandering and creating scenarios about the past, present and future. Unfortunately these scenarios are more like a tragedy or horror movie than a comedy.
Before I learned how to control my mind, I used to find myself unhappy too often. I was one of these unhappy people. Although everything was going right, I was unhappy and sometimes angry and I couldn’t understand why. My emotional changes also affected my loved ones. I thought I was creating reasons to be unhappy. Actually that was right. I was not doing that consciously but my wandering mind had that ability to do so.
You need to do something to protect yourself from being unhappy without a reason. There can be a lot of factors which make you unhappy but if there is no reason for being a part of unhappy people community,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you don’t need to change your life but change your mind,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], actually your wandering mind.

They reported that it’s like the default mode of our minds and this makes us unhappy.

When I quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom, I must admit I envisioned lazy afternoons, lunch
dates, the occasional pedicure,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and long hours at my favorite gym. Little did I realize that being
a mom is actually a full time job. The endless nappies to change, errands to run, dinners to cook,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],
and laundry to wash quickly illuminated how much I had to learn,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. With dishes and diapers piling
up, the chance of a pedicure was about as likely as winning the lottery without a ticket.
Much to my dismay, not only did a gym workout become a distant memory, but even showering
was a time-luxury I could rarely afford. Fortunately for my family, before throwing in the towel
– so to speak – I discovered that fitness for busy moms isn’t quite as absurdly impossible as I
was beginning to think.
The Gift of the Afternoon Nap
I’ve recently noticed that there are few things as beautiful as the face of my sleeping child. All
traces of the mischievous grin have miraculously vanished, and tears and temper tantrums are
